How Domain Transfers Work

Terms and Conditions
Before registering a .uk domain name please read Nominets terms and conditions
I am a member of Nominet, a Tag holder and these domains are currently residing on my own DNS's.
Transferring ownership of domains is done as follows, using Nominet's on-line transfer process -

If you purchase a domain from me, the following steps are required:

1) After I receive notification of your payment via PayPal, I will send a confirmation email
2) Please replay to this email so that your address is confirmed
3) I will then request that Nominet release the domain to that email address.
4) You will then receive an email from Nominet with instructions as to how to accept the transfer. All of this can be completed in minutes and I will email you a receipt, for the domain
The transfer must be completed within five days, or you will have to request that I start the process again.

It is the buyer's responsibility to Pay the Nominet transfer fee of £10+VAT. Multiple domains can normally be done on one transfer.

If any DRS or legal proceedings are initiated before the domain transfer is completed, the transaction is void and any payment will be refunded in full.

In the event of multiple purchases of the same domain, it will be sold to the first purchaser and all other payments will be refunded in full.

All agreed sales and quotes are only valid for 5 days from the original agreement.

If the buyer fails to transfer the domain name it will be treated as uncollected goods.
After six months the domain may be used for my benefit.
After one year I will send an email to the original contact address.
If there is no reply I will put the domain up for sale.
The original purchase price less my expenses and losses will be refunded up to a limit of two years.
If the buyer does not change the IPSTAG when completing the transfer, they can request it is released at any time, free of charge. However I do not offer a service to renew the domain.

Both with PayPal and under the terms of Distance Selling laws, domain names are considered to be intangible goods.

Third Party Domain Registrations
I do not offer a third party registration service for .uk domains

However domains for other registrants are occasionally held on my IPSTAG, either temporarily or permanently, as part of a sale in progress, or as a non-profit service to my associates. This is done on the following terms:

The cost of the initial registration will be agreed on an individual basis.
At any time the registrant can request that the ISPTAG is released. This will be done free of charge.
At any time FC Domains can request that the ISPTAG is transferred to another registrar. This will be done free of charge.
In the event of losing contact with the registrant for over one year, or I have not specifically agreed to host the domain, the IPSTAG will be changed to DETAGGED.
There are no charges for maintaining or changing the domain information.
FC Domains does not offer a guaranteed service. However since 1998 no services have been off-line for more than 12 hours.
I ensure that all registrants have direct email and telephone contact information.

Pricing and Payment
Every effort is made to ensure that all of the information on this web site is correct. However we are in effect selling hundreds of different items and there will be mistakes. If the system undercharges you for a domain, you can have it at that price. If there are any other errors, we reserve the right to cancel the sale.
Domain names are only secured on payment.

Secure Credit Card Payment
I only accept payment using credit card payments.
This is handled by PayPal secure server and can be paid from a PayPal account, or directly from most credit or debit cards.

Payment by cheque (or banker transfer)
For larger amounts, you can pay by bank transfer, or cheque.
In which case the domains will be marked as sold and the transfer paperwork requested from Nominet. The transfer will take place, as soon as I have cleared payment.
Normally a small deposit (non-refundable) of 5% will be required by credit card. The full balance to be paid within 10 working days.
